Welcome Teachers and Librarians!
I've enjoyed presenting interactive programs and hands-on activities at schools, libraries, museums, and bookstores since 1988 when I helped develop a summer science program for the Bridgeport Public Library in Connecticut. The programs I offer are based on the subjects of my books as well as on aspects of writing non-fiction. Programs may be modified for your curriculum needs and adjusted for grade appropriateness from grade 3 through 8.
A teacher or assistant should remain with the class and help with the program or AV equipment as needed. Some programs require preparation by the teacher or students ahead of time.
I appreciate having programs booked at least six weeks in advance. If you're planning a book signing as well, I prefer it to be scheduled after the program. The fees listed here are subject to change; they are negotiable under certain circumstances. In most cases, travel expenses to locations more than 30 miles from my home in Connecticut are additional.
I'm currently offering programs on:
The Lewis & Clark Expedition
Science & Engineering
On Writing Non-Fiction
